My daughters have been wanting to make a card with me to enter into the MIM contests, so my 10 yr old (with extremely little help from mom), designed and made this card:

So what do you think? I thought it was pretty good for a first time PTI stamper!

I was a bit stumped by this challenge and finally just started sifting through my stamp collection looking for a frame that I could manipulate. I spotted the seed packet stamp and decided to give it a try. Here's the result:

I stamped the frame end-to-end on Ocean Tides card stock in VersaMark ink and heat embossed the resulting image with clear embossing powder. I fussy cut the image out and used Copic T1 & T4 markers to shadow around the details.

PTI February Blog Hop Challenge

This month, PTI has challenged their fans to make an interactive card. Luckily my Movers & Shakers dies arrived in the mail, so I was able to take them for a test drive. Note to self - must get 1/8" score-tape (1/4" is just too wide for use with the Slider dies).

I knew exactly what I wanted to use the slider dies for as soon as I saw them ... to make cute birthday tags for the numerous parties my DDs get invited to. Here is my first attempt:

There was a bit of a learning curve for me with the slider setup. Things I can improve upon, as far as the construction aspect goes anyway. I really like the concept, but need to figure out how to modify this to be able to hang it from a gift bag. It should be a blast experimenting! My DDs are even excited to get involved!

PTI's Fruit Fusion: Cherries stamp set was just begging for some glittered button cherries, so I made a cute little lunchbox note. I Love to make lunchbox notes - they are like mini-card projects - and as a bonus, my kids LOVE to receive them! It's a win-win!
