PTI 5th Anniversary Day 4 Challenge

The Papertrey Ink's 5th Anniversary Day Two challenge is to make a project utilizing one of the favorite color combinations of the designers. It was a really tough choice, but I finally decided to use the color combo from Jessica Witty.

Here is my take on the challenge:

Supplies:

Paper: Bookprint, PTI card stock in kraft, harvest gold, aqua mist, and canyon clay.

Stamps: PTI Polka Dot Basics, Houndstooth, Mat Stack 1, and Stylish Sentiments: Holiday.

Ink: Versamark, PTI kraft and dark chocolate.

Other: PTI Mat 1 die, buttons, & floss.

PTI 5th Anniversary Day 2 Challenge

Today I am positing a second card I've made for the Papertrey Ink's 5th Anniversary Day Two challenge. The challenge is to create a new project using one of the printable freebie images made by PTI's fabulous stamp designers. For this card I chose to use the freebie image by Melissa Bickford. I'm photoshop literate, so I created my card base using Melissa's image and repeating it to fill the area. I thought the sentiment from Signature Greetings was a match made in heaven and that this little card will make the perfect briefcase note!

PTI 5th Anniversary Day 2 Challenge

Today I am positing a card made for the Papertrey Ink's 5th Anniversary Day Two challenge. The challenge is to create a new project using one of the printable freebie images made by PTI's fabulous stamp designers. For my card I chose to use the freebie image by Erin Lincoln. I knew when I saw the cassette graphic that I needed to make a card with it and the "Girly You Rock" sentiment from Signature Greetings. I'm photoshop literate, so I created my card base using Erin's image and adding lots of color. I added the sentiment using the Fillable Frames #10 die and frame stamp. I think it'll be a perfect card to use for one of my DD's many birthday parties they go to!

PTI 5th Anniversary Day 1 Challenge

This is my third post of a project for Papertrey Ink's 5th Anniversary Day One challenge.

My third card today was inspired by Heather's kraft with yellow tones seed packet card. I was drawn to the warm of the kraft and yellow combination, so I knew I wanted to make a card with those colors. I opted to use a kraft card base and stamped a floral background (masking off the sentiment area). Since this was a single layer card, I didn't want to use copies to color my flowers. While poking around my craft room looking for something to color with, I spotted my glimmer mists and decided to try painting with them. Surely it's been done before, but I haven't seen it. It was actually quite fun - I felt like I was back in watercolor class. And an added bonus ... a little shimmer shimmer to my card!

PTI 5th Anniversary Day 1 Challenge

Today I am positing a card made for the Papertrey Ink's 5th Anniversary Day One challenge. The challenge is to gleam inspiration from one of the fabulous Design Teams favorite projects from the year. I want to give a little shout out to the great Design Team that Papertrey Ink has. They bring out the best projects each month that always manage to get my mojo running - thank you, PTI DT!!!

My first card today was inspired by Mish's bright and colorful assortment of embellished button cards - very eye-catching! I decided to try my hand at stamping a background for the first time, and, WOW - it is not for the faint of heart. I think I need to exercise my artistic eye some more. Hehe. I also utilized one of Nichole's techniques of making score lines to separate the sentiment area. I love that this card is all one layer (minus the bling bling).

I used Papertrey Ink card stock in Stampers Select White and Raspberry Fizz. I used PTI Bitty Background Blocks to stamp the yellow pattern on the banner, and the "happy birthday" sentiment came from the PTI Mat Stack 1 collection.
