PTI Make It Monday #56: Die Cutting Partial Images

This week Papertrey Ink has a tutorial and challenge hosted by Betsy. She has shown us a way to only partially cut out die cut images for use in our projects. If you would like to check it out for yourself, you can find all the info here.

I found this challenge to be a bit of a ... well, a challenge. I racked by brain and sifted through my dies before finally ditching the idea and beginning to make a card inspired by a photo I saw on Betsy Veldman's blog. Betsy found it on pinterest, and I found it calling me to make a card.

It's it just so yummy?

After starting to design my card, I found I was able to incorporate this week's challenge after all!
I die cut 1/2 of the Mat Stack 4 die out of Hawaiian Shores card stock:

I am quite pleased with the results and hope you enjoy it too!

Supplies (all PTI unless noted):
Stamps: Rosie Posie, Background Basics: Sheet Music, Background Basics: Text Style, Signature Greetings
Dies: Rosie Posie, Mat Stack 4, Heart Border, Linen & Canvas impression plate
Ink: Berry Sorbet, Simply Chartreuse, Fine Linen, Old Olive (SU), Slate (Amuse), Smokey Shadow, Tea Dye Duo
Card Stock: Lemon Tart, Hawaiian Shores, Simply Chartreuse, Hibiscus Burst, Stampers Select White
Other: Copic markers, Glimmer Mist

Thanks ever so much for stopping by today!
