This month's PTI Blog Hop challenge is to gleam inspiration from the above photo and use it to create a project!
I am over-the-moon about this challenge as I absolutely LOVE a beautiful, bright, cheerful yellow! It's my all-time favorite color and has been since I was a kid. I LOVE it!
I found inspiration for the design of this project from Sarah Ortega's Quick and Easy Homemade Cards post that you can see here.
The large polka dot background is embossed in white, while the frame is coated with paper glaze for some added interest. I love the sentiment, "just thinking of you & wishing you well". All-in-all, I'm really happy with how this card turned out and can totally see making a rainbow-spectrum gift set for someone really special!
Supplies (all PTI unless noted):
Stamps: Polka Dot Basics, Polka Dot Basics II, Framed Out #1
Ink: Summer Sunrise, Versamark (Tsukineko)
Dies: Parisian Lace Doily, Frame-It
Card Stock: Harvest Gold, Stampers Select White
Other: Filigree embossing powder (Ranger)
Thanks ever so much for stopping by today!
